Five children walking home after school in south Florida were struck by a black Hyundai on Thursday afternoon, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies started searching for the driver and three passengers who allegedly fled after driving into the path of the students and colliding with them around 3:20 p.m, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Firefighters arrived to find the children sprawled on the ground and the car on fire, according to TV station WPEC.
The kids were reportedly taken with non-life threatening injuries to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
The age of the students and other details about them were not immediately known.
The sheriff's office didn't immediately respond to HuffPost's calls.
