STOW, Ohio (AP) — A judge has set a $1 million bond for an Ohio man charged with murder in the death of his 3-month old daughter.
Cuyahoga Falls police say 3-month-old Alivia Scott was taken to the hospital on Feb. 5 after what they say was an assault by her father, 29-year-old Matthew Scott. He was arrested Monday after the infant died from her injuries at Akron Children's Hospital. Scott is charged with murder, felonious assault and child endangering. A Stow Municipal Court judge set his bond at $1 million Tuesday.
Scott's attorney Noah Munyer says the case is a tragedy all the way around, and that his client is very concerned about his deceased child.
Scott is scheduled to appear in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
