Possible Pot Brownies At DA's Office Spark Investigation

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) — Two employees with a district attorney's office in Alabama have gotten sick from eating brownies that may have been laced with marijuana. One employee was hospitalized.

Al.com (http://bit.ly/1ONXCEQ) reports authorities are investigating whether brownies given to the Baldwin County District Attorney's office Tuesday were laced with the drug. A temporary court worker who doesn't work with the district attorney gave the brownies to the office shortly before prosecutors were to start a jury trial. WVTM-TV (http://bit.ly/1cD443U) reports the court worker did not know the brownies might be laced with the drug, but could still face charges. The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating. A county DA spokeswoman says the brownies are being tested and there is as yet no evidence they were laced. She says the affected employees have recovered.
