The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. Milledgeville Police Department

Multiple Offenses

An officer was dispatched to the Family Dollar on South Wayne Street shortly before 9 p.m. March 17 in reference to a shoplifter who was on the run from law enforcement. After hearing that police had captured and arrested the man, the officer spoke to the store manager to gather details of the crime. The manager said that a man with a history of stealing from the store came in and hid about $50 worth of sausage and hot dogs in his pants. Police issued the man warrants for shoplifting and obstructing a law enforcement officer and transported him to the Milledgeville Jail.

Multiple Offenses

An officer met with a woman at her West McIntosh Street apartment shortly after 3 p.m. March 18 in reference to someone breaking in to her car. The woman said she had left the vehicle parked at about 1:30 a.m., but when she returned around 6:30, she found several items missing from the vehicle. Among the stolen items were a Michael Kors purse, cash and assorted credit and store gift cards, and two prescription bottles containing 20 mg Klonopin and 30 mg Vyvanse pills, valued collectively at more than $500. She said that one of her credit cards had been used at both Wal-Mart and Flash Foods around 4 a.m., and that together the charges totaled more than $400. Asset protection staff at Wal-Mart told the officer that the card had been used by a man and a woman, but no suspects had been named at the time of the report.
