Milledgeville Police Department
Damage to Property
An officer met with a woman at the Super Inn on North Columbia Street shortly after 11 a.m. June 12 in reference to damage to her vehicle. She said a woman had driven a vehicle in front of her room and accused her of having an affair with her husband. After leaving the woman for a few minutes to take her child to the hotel pool, she said she came back to find that someone had smashed her car’s windshield and scratched every side panel with a set of keys. Police contacted the man’s wife and instructed her to come to the MPD for questioning, but the woman had not shown up by the time of the report.
Burglary
An officer met with a woman in her mother’s Anthony Way apartment shortly after noon in reference to a break-in. The woman said she had been drying clothes in her mother’s dryer when she noticed a 32-inch TV and Xbox game console missing from the apartment. She said the apartment’s back door had been standing open before she came inside, and the officer noticed no signs of forced entry into the residence.
