The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.
Disorderly Conduct
An officer met with a man at his Grandview Court residence shortly after 7 p.m. July 3 in reference to an altercation. The man said a child in his neighborhood had hit him in the knee with a tree branch, but declined to describe any of the events leading up to him being hit. The officer then met with the man’s neighbor, who is a juvenile and a friend of the person that hit him with the stick, who said his friend only swung the stick out of fear after the man threw a skateboard at him. After other neighbors gave accounts of the man throwing the skateboard at the juvenile, the officer arrested the man for disorderly conduct and transported him to the Milledgeville Jail.
Burglary
An officer met with a landlord at his West McIntosh Street apartments shortly after noon July 5 in reference to two of his apartments being burglarized. He said someone had removed rear windows from both of the units and rummaged through the contents of the apartments, but was unsure if they had stolen any items belonging to the tenants. The officer advised the landlord to have his tenants call MPD if they discovered any items missing.
