A Burlington County woman was charged with murder after allegedly shooting her wife in the face.
A 39-year-old mother abandoned her 10-year-old special needs son in the woods, authorities said.
Those two are among a group of people either charged with, indicted for, convicted of or sentenced in a wide array of crimes that made news across New Jersey in the past week.

- The 28-year-old Mount Holly woman accused of killing her wife faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and tampering with evidence. She shot her wife in the face, authorities said.
- A Millville woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after her son was found wandering in a wooded area near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The boy told State Police his mother walked him into the woods with luggage and left.
- A supervisor in a state pension office has been suspended without pay after surveillance video showed her stealing money and other items from a co-worker, police said. The 57-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested on a third-degree theft by unlawful taking charge.
- A retired Cape May police officer who used a union bank account to buy timeshares in Mexico and the Caribbean pleaded guilty to theft charges. The 48-year-old, who stole about $105,000, is expected to receive a year in prison.
- A grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Williamstown motorist on assault and drug charges in connection with an accident that sent a child to the hospital.
- Police seized $10,000 worth of psychedelic mushrooms, cocaine and an imitation handgun when they arrested a Woodbury man. The 24-year-old had 70 jars filled with growing mushrooms in an inoculation chamber, authorities said.
- A 23-year-old Plainfield man indicted last month on sex assault charges has now been indicted in Gloucester County in a separate case involving allegations of luring and child porn possession.
- A 26-year-old parolee admitted he stabbed a fellow halfway house resident to death in Point Pleasant Beach after the two got into an argument over a football game. The 41-year-old victim was stabbed 90 times, officials said.
