CRIME OF THE WEEK: Two down, two to go - Lufkin Daily News

On Dec. 6, four people burglarized a home on Register Court in Angelina County. A camera inside the residence captured video of the crime and allowed Angelina County Sheriff’s Office investigators to identify and arrest two of the burglars. The arrestees might cooperate with the investigators but, even if they do, they’ll likely leave out details about their crimes. So, Crime Stoppers wants you to help the investigators and is offering a reward for the anonymous tip that leads to additional arrests or helps recover the stolen property.

In the video, portions of which are posted at 639TIPS.com, a female voice repeatedly says the name “Tony.” That name and a couple of video frames of a man looking directly at the camera helped the investigators identify Tony Dwayne Williams Jr. The investigators also identified Erika Danielle Gordon. With warrants in-hand, Angelina County deputies and Lufkin PD officers tracked down Williams and Gordon last Friday evening on Timberland Drive in Lufkin. Both were booked into Angelina County Jail for burglary of a habitation.

The investigators will continue to work on Williams and Gordon in an attempt to identify the other burglars and to recover the stolen property, including five shotguns, two computers and jewelry. If Crime Stoppers receives a case-solving anonymous tip before Williams or Gordon cooperate, the tipster will be eligible for a reward.
