Arrests

Sheriff’s Office

• Wade Allen Hurst, 36, 610 1/2 12th St. W., Tifton, was charged Tuesday with burglary.

• Ja’Nice Noel Sailor, 23, 30 Club Circle, was charged Tuesday with battery.

• Kymyada Anatashia Baker, 25, 99 Tifton-Eldorado Road, Tifton, was charged Tuesday with battery.

Doerun Police

• Nigel Akese Murray, 23, 1409 Central Ave. N., Tifton, was charged Tuesday with possession of cocaine, possession of firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes, and possession of arms by convicted felon.

Moutrie Police

• Cecil Stribbling, 32, 102 Second St. S.W., was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.

Burglary

Moultrie Police

• Maricela Duvergel, 1900 block Garden Villa Drive, reported Tuesday the theft of a bicycle valued at $250.

Sheriff’s Office

• Tim Carroll, 300 block Riggs Store Road, Hartsfield, reported Monday the theft of a Ryobi leaf blower and Ryobi weed trimmer with a total value of $430.

•  Wayne Edwards, 700 block Old Berlin Road, reported Feb. 15 the theft of a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol, Henry Arms lever-action rifle and two Glock pistols with a total value of $1,700.

Thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Dorothy Ball, 1300 block U.S. Highway 319 North, Norman Park, reported Tuesday the theft of a 2006 Honda Accord valued at $15,000.

The car was recovered, police said.

• Eugene Varnadoe, 200 block Edge Road, Doerun, reported Monday the theft of a Springfield pistol valued at $500 from the 2800 block of Mt. Sinai Road, Doerun.

• Willie Walker, 1500 block Cool Springs Road, reported Friday the theft of a Husqvarna chain saw valued at $500.

Entering auto

Sheriff’s Office

• Alfredo Gomez, 2300 block Old Adel Road, reported Monday the theft of $200 and that a 2005 Ford F-150 and 2001 Ford F-150 had been entered overnight.

Other investigations

Moultrie Police

• Jason Hartsfield, 31st Avenue Southeast, reported Tuesday finding a gate key pad damaged when he returned home to the Preserves apartment complex on 31st Avenue Southeast.

Hartsfield told police that he noticed “suspicious activity,” specifically a car parked in an entrance lane. As he checked out what was going on three or four people got in the car and left.

He told police that he heard a loud “bang” as the car fled from the area. When he approached the entrance near the gate he saw that the key pad had been forcibly removed.

Police found the key pad in the garden area.

Sheriff’s Office

• A deputy investigating a suspicious person call on Tuesday discovered that the rear door of a hunting cabin apparently had been kicked in.

The officer also found chairs, a chain saw and a few bags that apparently had been removed from the cabin next to the driveway.

• David Dorminey, 100 block Sam Harrell Road, reported an attempted burglary on Tuesday.
