More than a month later, no arrests have been made after a gunman opened fire on police during a traffic stop in South Linden.
A $5,000 reward is being offered through Jan. 19 by the Fraternal Order of Police in partnership with Central Ohio Crime Stoppers in hopes that someone will come forward with information leading to an arrest of the man responsible for the ambush.
Officers had just responded to a carjacking on the morning of Nov. 22 in the 2600 block of River Look Drive on the city's Northeast Side. The carjacker dumped the stolen 2014 Chevy Malibu before fleeing in the area of Hamilton Avenue. He was not located.

Officers were near the intersection of East 17th and Louis avenues just before 6 a.m. when they saw a green Kia Soul circling through the neighborhood where the carjacking suspect was last seen. Officers stopped the car.
As Officer Phillip Stevens was leaning on the front passenger side window talking to the driver, a man running between nearby homes opened fire. No one was struck. Police estimate there were 13 shots fired. Four of those struck the Kia.
Stevens dropped to his stomach and crawled to safety behind the car. Two other officers, having drawn their guns, also took cover.
Shell casings found at the scene were matched to a shooting from about four hours earlier on the Near East Side, near East Main Street and Berkeley Road. A man and woman were wounded after a gunman in a car opened fire on them.
A reward is being offered to anyone who might have information leading to the arrest or indictment of the suspect. Tipsters remain anonymous.
