Crime Digest, Thursday, May 10, 2018 - The Union-Recorder

The following is information compiled from public records of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Fraud

An officer met with a woman in the MPD lobby shortly after 6 p.m. May 4 in reference to a theft of her bank account information. The woman said she had used a credit card at Walmart earlier that day and had gotten home to find an unrelated transaction debited to her account. No suspects or mention of the transactions amount were included in the report.

 Burglary

An officer met with a woman at her Elbert Court apartment shortly before 5:30 p.m. May 5 in reference to a burglary. The woman believed someone may have broken into her apartment a short time earlier and stolen two cell phones from inside the residence, and wished to file a police report to document the theft. The woman described one phone as a Verizon Stylus smartphone without a case, while the other was described as an iPhone with a copper-colored case. No suspects were named in the incident report.
