Early morning carjacking leaves man with gunshot wound - The Daily Nonpareil

Council Bluffs Police are investigating a carjacking that left one person with a gunshot wound Monday morning.

Police said the incident occurred around 3:17 a.m. in the 3200 block of Avenue J. A man told police he had been sleeping in his blue 2013 Ford Fusion when two men approached the car, shot him once and then left in his vehicle. The car had an Iowa license plate: EVJ830.

The man was taken to a local hospital and his injuries were not life threatening, police said.
